Few questions regarding OCI application

Post by curiousv »

1. on Govt. OCI application ..it is asking for applicant passport number..just making sure we are entering current US passport and not expired Indian passport correct?
2. On spouse details..my spouse is US citizen and not applying for OCI card so wondering if her passport details are necessary?
3. Also, it is asking for native address ...should I enter full address or just name of city?
and native means birth place or my last residence place in India ? I have no connection to my birth place any more.

3. Native Address is not mandatory field in OCI application. Just leave blank and continue to next step.
Mandatory columns have * Mark.

So spouse name has * mark but spouse's passport number does not have * means we can leave it blank?

I would give spouse current usa passport number. When you have information then give it even though it is not mandatory column. When you are not sure then leave Non-Mandatory columns.
