help choose online investment platform

Post by old_city_fella »

Hello friends,

Please suggest the best online investment platform (for index funds).

It seems ICICI direct and eZ-trade@SBI are the most popular platforms in India.
While RRK had advocated Funds India as another option.

I currently do not have any demat accounts. Once we R2I this summer, a demat account would be one of my priorities. Can you help me decide? What are the advantages of one verusus the other?

thanks.

Any feeback about Funds India?
How would you compare it against ICICI or SBI platforms for buy-and-hold investments?

thanks.

I used ICICIDIRECT when i was in india and have no complaints with the services. However, didn't read too much before opening a/c with them. So, its worth to see what others have to say.

I have been using FundsIndia (Mutual funds) for the past 6 months. I found it easy to use, reliable and customer friendly. Cons: Some of the fund houses like dsp, icici are not available, lack of research tools. I use reliance money for equities, but i would recommend you to check out kotak or india infoline.

Thanks for ur feedback. Very valid concerns.
What makes you choose Reliance money over the rest?
It is interesting that you dont suggest or compare with ICICI or SBI. I would assume they would be cheaper than Kotak or others.

Hi all,

I'm going to start into mutual funds soon. There is new entrant goalwise which claims to be completely auto managed with not much do it yourself task.

Anyone experienced on this? Any issues possibly? Seems quiet promising.
