Daughter starting Nursery in Noida in 2011

Hi,

Can anybody let me know what are the age criteria for starting nursery. My daughter is 2007 December born.

Also, what are the good schools in NCR area specially Noida and Greater Noida.

Hi Diva,

I too returned from LA to Noida a few months back.
Currently my son (born in May 2008) goes to preschool.
The good schools here are DPS, Somerville, Apeejay, Amity, Ryan, Lotus Valley, Cambridge etc.
There are a few other international ones on the greater noida express way too eg. Genesis, Pathways (coming up)...
Though even I'm not sure of the age criteria.
Best would be to find out the number from their websites and directly make a call with your queries.

Yes, we moved back in end of Feb. Good to know that you have returned to Noida. Most people on the forum are returning to Bangalore or Hyd. How has your experience been till now.

Experience has been mixed. As you know, Noida is a very planned city with good markets, malls, hospitals etc. However, the water is terrible, not good to even wash hair with. And then the all pervasive dust and pollution!! How has it been with you? You are in which sector?

Good to know people who have returned to Noida. When I plan my return to India, I know who to ask questions:-)
Diva, which sector are you in? We have a flat in section 92A and when we go to India, we stay there.

I dont know much about schools but my sister-in-laws kids go to DPS- Noida and they seem to like it.

Hi, I don't know about Noida, but in Delhi schools, the age criteria is : the child starts nursery when he is 3+ in March of that year. So, your son should probably start nursery next year(2011-12). I rarely find anyone returning to Noida...most people are return to either Hyd/Bangalore/Pune

Yeah, sure!
I get back to Noida around end september. Shall we set a target for before Diwali.
Location -
1. Spice mall food court
2. Another place
3. Somewhere else

If nothing works, we can always meet at my house. A large basement. Bring your own questions.
