Moving from Midwest to Fort Worth, TX

I am moving to Fort Worth, TX area in February of 2011. My work would be near downtown FW. I don't know much about DFW area. I understand that there are lot of desis in Plano, Richardson and Irving but are little far away from FW downtown. I would like to know from people who stay in DFW area what areas that I should be looking to rent a house? I have following criteria:
1. Great School District (I have a Kindergartner).
2. Atleast few desis.
3. Rent around 2k per month for a 3 or 4 BR house.

From what I gather so far, Keller school district seems to be good and have some decent (read Hidden Lakes) neighbourhoods. I would be visiting Dallas in January 3rd week to do more research but I would like some feedback before that.
