Car Accident --Other party requesting for Coverage Policy

Post by prasadrama »

We met with a car accident recently and the other party is requesting coverage policy through our insurance.

At the time of accident there were not physical injuries seen also they did a CT scan and no bodily insuries reported , our claims department person informed us that they might claim for body massages etc.

We are in california and the company says its we who decide about revealing or not revealing the coverage policy. Any suggestions on this one , have any one gone through this -- sorry but you could help us.

It is recommended not to reveal any information about the insurance cover you carry except for the policy number and provider.

Thank you mkngtrbl.

Insurance Provider has sent us a letter , that other party's attorney is requesting this information. It seems as per their company policy its me who has to decide whether to reveal or not to reveal ... I googled to see few discussions where they say " other party might sue to get information" and it also varies from state to state ..
