There are some packaged tours of the city. That may be the best way to cover the city in the limited time you have. Not us, but one of our friends who are not local did it.

You know it is hot summer around here (42 degree blazing hot). I dont know the motive, but if it is more like evaluate the place if you want to move, why dont you hire a A/C cab all day, and just ask him to take you around. Visit the Hi-Tec city area, Gachibowli area, kukadpally, Jubilee Hills - area's potential places you will stay, may be a quick visit to prasads theater to rest & eat in A/C, drive around necklace road/lumbini park, and pretty much you will be done for the day. You cant step out of the car during mid day.
