Looking for school option for r2i with a 7th grader

Hello,
We will be moving to Bengaluru in 2012. I have a 6th grader (currently) and need advice on school options. Main concerns are the 2nd lang. and 3rd lang. I would definitely prefer the option of any lang. other than Hindi/Kannada as I do understand it is pretty steep to pick up and cope with both the languages(CBSE stds.) Pls suggest some newer schools which cater to kids like ours. We are very motivated to return back home and hoping school will not be an issue. Pls suggest schools in the Whitefield area. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

There are a few schools in Bangalore that have French as second language option. You can check the following schools - GEAR, NPS, Vibgyor have French as second language option. Vibgyor is in Marathahalli and is closer to Whitefield (has ICSE and International syllabus). GEAR (CBSE) is closer to Sarjapur ring road, and NPS has various branches (Indiranagar, Koramangala, HSR etc). Schools in Whitefield area such as Deens Academy (CBSE) and Gopalan National (ICSE), may have French - not sure though. International schools such as Greenwood, Brigade, Inventure, and Gopalan International will have more options.

Since your kid is going to be in 7th grade, be careful in choosing school with 2nd and 3rd languages.
Actually I do second your openion about schools who are offering Hindi and Kannada and to some extent Sanskrit as 2nd and 3rd languages. They are pretty deep and takes away major time from kid and parents to bring them up to the speed of other kids and school expectations. I believe most schools will have exams for languages as well starting from 4th or 5th standard.
In short you should definitely go with school which will start 2nd 3rd languages from basic level for your kid given he/she is in 7th grade. In your case it's going to be only foreign languages.
