What do you guys think?

Is Life Logical?

Yes or No

No, If life is not logical then why do we carry out all the activities logically.

Yes, Wow, Great!! Now life is so much simple, we go from A -> B -> C and we are done.

Please share what you believe, why? etc.

I believe life is Illogical, it is not logical. Now what do I do with this information? How to utilize this information? hmmm... let me think.

can you be more specific what you mean by life being logical?

Are you talking about evolution of life? emergence of life? or celebration of birthday during one's life or going to work or marriage.

I am a bit lost at a quesiton like "Is life logical", If you mean the activities we perform - do we use logic to perform them? or something else?

In other words is there any sort of order or organization in life.

I mean the experiences we have as we go through this thing called life. Why something happens, we plan for something and we find that it never comes to a pass.

Is Life Logical?

Not a question to attempt on a Friday. No, it isn't logical. Not at all. Thank God for that!

OK Life is not logical, but why would you thank god for that?

I would like to assume that more people would like to thank god if life were logical!!

Gujjubhai here is my perspective.

Life is like a garden. Some patches have green grass. Some have flowers. Some patches have weeds. It all seems haphazard. If you walk along the garden you dont know what patch you are going to hit next.
In that sense life is unpredictable.

But life is logical in the sense what you find on every patch is exactly what was sown on that patch. Where a sunflower seed was sown in the past a sunflower will with certitude sprout. Where a weed seed was planted in the past you will find a weed grow and so on. But why it is not totally predictable is because a. you dont know how long the seed you plant is going to take to sprout and b. there are factors beyond your control such as rainfall weather etc

What is seen is only the product - be it grass or weed. What is unseen and hence beyond the scope of perception is the seed that gave rise to it.

So is Life logical - yes.

How to utilize this information? You plant more seeds, and you remove more weeds. The more flowerseeds you plant the more you increase the chance that going forward your life's garden will be filled with the fragrance of their blooms. If you are not careful in uprooting the weeds as and when you encounter them soon they may overrun all the patches in your entire garden - finding a trace of fragrance going forward will then be difficult. So bloom or gloom in the future is largely determined by what you do with your present.

To address Logic of Life : When the very inception of life begings with Illogical mapping of "100,000+ potential possibilities to 1 conclusive confluence" in random, unpredictable nature .. Logic is already tossed out of Life :wink

Now for every species based on development primitive or advanced : some order written / verbal / genetic is established by mother earth with primal motivation of SURVIVAL of a life form.

As Human specy is so called Advanced Intelligent one : With Laws, Ethics, Social Customs and History etc, Humans tend apply Logic with SURVIVAL as motivation in terms of variety of aspects. But none the less .. the permitation & combination of gazzillion events .. some we may control but many which we can not but have influence on us directly . called as LUCK many times negate so called Logic :cool

Many Thanks Man Ji,

Your post has helped me, and has showed me the way how to handle some of the events that are happening around me. I accept, sometimes such goddamn things happen and I have no idea how to handle them or even how to face them. In these times playing kusti (wrestling) with my innerself is what I do and it does hurt!! Ouch!!

Thanks again, made my day..
