I believe this was started recently : http://meebhoomi.ap.gov.in/ --- for lands in Andhra Pradesh. Site is in Telugu.

very good information, you can get 1B, Adangal, FMB (field measurement book) for pretty much whole of AP. Some years back, it would have been near impossible to get all this.

I wish all states would do this.

OP, land records come under state, so you will have to search Tamil Nadu (??) land records. When I looked at it some time back, one could find the records, but one needed to know the extent of land, and its numbers etc...
