WAMU FICO score

Hi folks,
I found that wamu credit card has a free benefit of FICO scores,

---> Does these scores put an enquiry into the credit report every time I check the score?

Also is there any credit card which offers to check unlimited or limited number of times to check the credit reports free as a benefit?

WAMU's free FICO score wont do any -ve on your credit. These are friendly enquiries.

In fact, YOU wont hit your Credit Scrore to check, by yourself.. your WaMu CC account page automatically gets updated every month with your Credit Score under "Credit Profile" tab.
In other words, your free credit scrore display wont harm itself

Thanks for the replies, I applied for the card today.

I will check the credit history once I start getting the FICO score(after 90 days of opening), it should not put a hard enquiry from wamu fico score, if it does then i will cancel the card.

We need to worry about the hard enquiries which usually the creditor or any business would make, these enquiries make a dent to the credit history, ofcourse these stay for 2 years only.

Folks - I suspect that anything free with credit report by commercial banks is not risk-free. The best solution is to access free credit report annually from 3 bureau's is from www.annualcreditreport.com. This is a free website regulated by govt. and is protected where your info. will not be shared by commercial sector.

You don't need to wait 90 days for the FICO score. It is right there when you log-in after receiving the card. There is NO enquiry to get a FICO score thru WaMU or Providian CC. That is the benefit of having this card if you want to monitor it. These scores for WaMU are provided by Transunion. The scores might vary a bit with the other 2 firms.

Annual Credit Report is the easiest form to get all 3 credit reports for free every year. But, wait for a month or 2 if you have recently moved to a new home/apt/state, It takes a while for that to reflect after you change you CC, DL and other utility addresses.

I received this credit card, the first time when I loged into the site I see my FICO score, but this FICO score updates only after 90 days of account opening as per the CSR. Currently my FICO score is not updating every month, I have to wait for 90 days to get this benefit.

I have wamu card and the only purpose is to see my credit score..It updates every month and is a cool feature

It has not affected my credit score
