I am NRI residing in India for a long time.I have PAN card in India.
I have rental income in India for the house in India for which I also pay maintenance charges, taxes and also bills etc.
Deposit this amount in NRO account in India and bank automatically deducts quarterly tax on Intrest earned on the deposits.
Recently IT department sent me the letter asking to file taxes 2017-18 for PAN Card and they don't have info that I am NRI.
I don't have any other income in India except rents.
Do I need to file taxes in India? Please advice.

Have you registered in Indian income tax portal as NRI? The compliance notice is typically sent if Indian Income Tax thinks you have sufficiently high income (check 2018 slabs for tax rates) to warrant tax payment. I think for 2018, up to 2,50,000 INR income has no tax. Do not confuse TDS with actual tax payment. TDS is same as US W4 withholding - cut at some %. You may actually owe no or low tax and may even get fat tax refund from Indian Income Tax Dept. You must file taxes if your taxable income is above the base threshold specified for the year.
