Do people take him seriously or is he just an annoyance when you flip channels ? I watch him to improve my listening skills if not for the politics.

To me his news discussion is actually a news "show". Shouting does not make one correct. But he does not seem to believe in this. I also read somewhere that he is the highest paid news show artist :0

He does not hide behind diplomacy, thats what makes his show popular, even though there is not much of a debate or news :)

Newshour is the only program that I do not miss even for a day ( I watch a lot of TV, Desi as well as American). You love Arnab or hate him, you can't ignore him. Sometimes he not only drives his panelists crazy but viewers too. Sometimes I feel like pulling the hair out (his, not mine ;) )
BTW, did anybody notice Kiran Bedi ran away from his show today when he started asking tough questions ;)
his is no-diplomacy/confrontational/controversial style of journalism with lot of masala and spice. Once you watch Arnab you don't feel like watching lesser mortals like Pranav Roy etc.

so never, ever ever eva eva eva make fun of Arnab.

I used to watch Arnab's show purely for the entertainment purpose... once in a while, we all like to see our politicians caned black and blue (with words only though).

Sometimes when nothing else is good on TV, I just watch Arnab hyperventilate. It makes me appreciate my calm & peaceful life.

We call him 'Gaddalada Goswami' - Meaning 'Noisy Goswami' At any point in time, you can only see > 1 voice that makes none of the panelists being audible. Very rarely, it is one person at a time.
