NBA 2015-2016 season

Post by RRS »

I had never watched All Star game before but watched this time. May be to see how local GS Warriors stars fare or to see Kobe's last game in all star game. He seemed to enjoy all the attention. I wish he didn't have that rape scandal which tainted his otherwise great legacy. Are there any LA Lakers fans here? How do you feel about his departure from the game once for all?

laks0;623441Good riddance...

Were you a supporter of one of the teams that got beat by Kobe? :)

RRS seems bored and has now started watching all star games. (j/k) Did you see the dunk contest, the prior night? That turned out to be exciting than the all star game.

Both MJ and Kobe are examples of setting one's mind on a goal and working relentlessly towards that goal. Each season was a new start with new challenges to face, new weakness to address. Sort of a reset that enabled them to start again afresh, to work their way back to the goal.

Both had weakness (screwing around) on the personal front. I have read MJ probably is a prime reason for Tiger, as he introduced Tiger to the sin city.

I like shaq. :)

MJ changed how the game was played. After MJ, kobe, and others were just MJ wannabes and could never catch MJ.

RRS may have watched the pro bowl as well, two most boring/useless games of the year. :)

Warriors equal 96 Bulls record of 44 consecutive wins in home court. Next is 72 victories in a single season. With 22 games to go, it seems achievable. Will see if they equal or beat that in a month.

I didn't watch pro bowl. I actually watched slam dunk and just parts of All star when Kobe played : )

With the way spurs are going, we could have 2 teams with more than 70 wins and warriors beat spurs by 30. are those teams far superior or the rest have fallen.

62/6 vs 58/10, is this the best regular season matchup of all time.

But GSW has lot of players ailing. Bogut will be out along with Ezeli,Igoudala, and Looney, so Spurs have advantage of home court plus healthy front 5. I hope GSW wins so Spurs won't equal Bulls record but they might : )

You didn't jinx Warriors  :) . I am not a sports fan like you but watched the last game yesterday night for my son's sake (He is a huge Curry fan)..Warriors beat the bulls record with 73 wins and 9 losses.. Today's paper shows except 2 teams who had >65 wins in a season ended up winning NBA title(Bulls, Lakers,Celtics etc..).. Hoping that Warriors continue the majority trend and don't end up like those 2 teams:e ! I have promised my son that I'll take him to parade if Warriors win it all..

A team that wins 73 is typically an unbeatable team. I wouldn't bet against Warriors winning the championship again. They have a good winning team going + a great coach in Steve Kerr. The only thing that would stop them is themselves. They have won earlier and know what it takes to win a championship. In playoffs, it is one game at a time.

All their losses, except one (against Spurs), have been against lower rung teams. They just need to watch out for some wildcard underdog (could happen from the East, which is pretty even seed 1 to 8, with Cleveland not really standing out and Toronto not with much of playoff experience to talk about).
