Not just their stocks or the market cap, their business is down too..Their growth is almost stalled and future growth looks bleak..

Do you get the vibe of 2000 dot com crash that only companies with solid plan and eggs in different basket will survive this rough ride ?

This is not to get guidance on any stock, but to get the pulse of valley economy..

This is always true. Irrational valuations always correct to the fundamentals. If the business cannot bring in profit within a few years of inception, the funding will dry out and stock prices will correct.

History repeats itself - nothing new.

FB is trading at a very high P/E. One bad qtr wherein the growth rate dips and the stock price will drop. I would not enter it at these level. If you already hold, I would sell some to recover the capital and book some profits.

Another one is Linkedin (LNKD)

It was trading upper side of $200 per share ! That is a junk company, only sends spam emails and recruiters are adding contacts.

It has crashed to $100 but its should be a penny stock.

I am not on Facebook and LinkedIn is the perfect way for me to stay connected with people in my professional circle.

My last job was through LinkedIn. My last 3 hires I found on LinkedIn and was able to do background checks through common links.

I am not sure what will be the right price but its definitely not a junk company!!

I always valued LinkedIn connections more than Facebook. Unfortunately LinkedIn does a poor job of Job matching and integration.

I am glad that it helped some one.

I get friend request from Insurance Agents, Realtors, Amway kind of marketing guys and tons of recruiter who collects resumes :)

Who login to Linkedin daily? Only those who are in the market for job.

Just got another spam email from LinkedIn updates that xyz changed his profile photo and abc has 4 years anniversary with EFG company.

We don't need email alerts for those things.

Investors are worried about FB too..
I haven't logged into FB for days..I work in internet related things but don't need FB shows their business model in US needs to be reevaluated.. FB had growth in India last 2 years, so were surviving but now growth has stalled even in India as most in India use Whatsapp and making money through WA hasn't materialized yet....

LinkedIn model was good initially but off-late it has become the monster/dice/indeed with recruiters becoming contacts for all applicants :) Plus can't verify if the recommendations are true or fake..People with no connection to a technology just like that endorse a skill for their contacts, so their names show up in Email inbox :(.. My RE agent somehow was added in my LinkedIn and I have no idea how she can be one of my professional contacts and she endorsed me for datacenter/cloud/virtualization:confused:

I actually login at least once a day (sometimes more) to LinkedIn. And I do look at the updates, who is changing jobs, or has been promoted. There are articles, blogs and user forums.

I also routinely get invitations from RE Agent, or random people from India or recruiters. Unless someone is truly in my professional circle, I never accept their invitation. I think it is an extremely effective tool if you try not to use it as Facebook!!
