I am planning to return to Nagpur this year from USA.
I have a daughter going to fourth grade.
Any good schools where she can easily adjust with the language and curriculum?
Also, any NRI community where I can buy/rent a flat/house? Any nice gated community?
Job, Travel, Distance etc is not a concern for me at this point.
I will appreciate if you could provide me any input on this.

First of all Congrats for your decision on R2I. It's nice to see someone R2Iing to Nagpur. Given the choice I would also like to R2I there.. I was just curious what's your plan for job over there. I know there are not many good companies at Nagpur. There are couple of companies whose name pop-up everytime we talk about R2I, but the salaries are not that great. I would really like to understand your plans after returning back.

Do let me know if you have info on Nagpur schools. There are few english schools - DPS, MontFort, Nairsons etc - but I have no info about it.

I just R2I to Nagpur. I am from Nagpur and know a good deal abt schools and everything else.
In addition to the names you already know. There are a few good choices you have
1. Delhi Public School
2. Jain International School
2. Center Point School
The only trouble is most of the schools are about 10-15 miles out of town on high-ways and although they have school buses commute is too much for kids (with time spent in picking and dropping all the kids by schoolbus).
I have admitted my daughter to a elementary school called Mothers Pet. She will go into KG1 classes. Mothers Pet is affiliated with Center Point school for higher grades so as she goes into 1st she will go there.

Nice to see someone returning to Nagpur. I grew up in Nagpur and love that place. My sister stays in nagpur so incase you need some info about the schools. Her son goes to Center point school and seem to be very happy with curriculum. Goodluck with your R2I plan.
