Modi Sarkar at work - Part 2

Post by R2I-Admin »

2014 election was path breaking in many ways. After 30 years India got a single party majority. IMO, single party rule is always better than coalition due to king size ego of various allies. UPA and previous NDA govt could not make lot of progress due to coalition parties.

With one party majority, I foresee good growth prospect and better life for people living in India. This thread is to keep track on various policy decisions, comments and articles on Modi govt. Please restrict your post to current Modi govt and related topics.

To start with:

Narendra Modi has turned India into a magnet: McKinsey CEO Dominic Barton

Modi Sarkar at work - Part 2

Moving on to different topic - Doklam.

Modi govt handled this issue quite well. Chinese made lot of threatening noise through their official media but GoI remained silent and did what is right for the country. Finally China had to backtrack and again Modi gave them a face saving retreat. Of course like Congresswallah Chinese claim victory and say India pulled out. Indian Army stood its ground, the new Army Chief did an excellent job in moving troops to high altitude and did not allow PLA to build road in Doklam. This is the first time Indian govt responded to Chinese Dragon unlike what happened during 1962 when Chacha refused to grant permission to IAF to bomb saying Chinese Army will be injured. Jokerlal Prime Minister.

On my part I returned Lenovo PC I purchase two weeks back and got a HP instead. We will not buy any Chinese smartphones and stick with Apple, Samsung and LG. All iPhones are made in China but profit goes to US. North Indians in UP and Bihar showed some sense - the sale of Oppo and Vivo phones are down by 25% since Doklam issue started.

I agree. Changes in Government rarely bring about change in India but when it comes to geopolitics having Modi at the helm with Doval as his deputy makes sense.

All in all, it worked out well for India. I do not think China expected such a robust response. Nobody did and I think we ended up surprising ourselves pleasantly for once.

Oppo is the sponsor of our cricket team and they were playing matches right in the middle of the standoff. I found that quite funny,

These are three of the finest commentaries I read on the Doklam stand-off. The first two were written prior to its resolution and the third was written after the stand-off ended as a warning to one and all. I found them quite useful, perhaps others shall too.

I was nodding until the bolded part.

Yes credit to modi and Indian govt is due in this case. But obviously propaganda machinery cannot just stop at that without adding something totally illogical.

That returned Lenova did help a lot. Nation will never forget your contribution.

As for UP/Biharis, when have they shown poor judgement that they would make a mistake now? Being one, nothing makes me more proud.

Did MMS ever tell truthfully why he couldn't convince Cong ruled states to roll out GST?
Did MMS provide any solution to BM? Oh sorry, there is no BM going by RBI report:) So he was quite brilliant to not make any attempt.

Congi chamchas think any medicine to treat is bad because it has side effects. Wonderful intelligence, common sense, rationale - all rolled in one. I cannot wait for Pappu Sir to take over.

And I don't know why Modi govt is crowing over identifying at least 1.75L cr suspicious deposits. That much was eaten by UPA under pujyaniya Italian origin Madam in only one scam of 2G spectrum and without a burp, I might add. (Khaae aur Dakar tak nahin)

And a question to those asking me how many will go to jail. How much time do you think is realistic to unravel the whole black money network, collect and collate evidence and bring to courts for jailing?
