Business - Sourcing from India?

Hey all,

I'm seriously thinking of setting up business. Now I'm looking for folks who want to source from India, obviously goods n services that are cheap.

Now that Software as a source is tried n tested, there has to be other list, anyone wanna collab with me? I need someone to source this from India n ensure it has been exported to my address, I'll take care of distribution.[LIST=1]

Medicine - If someone can find how much it costs for a tourist to get it cheaply done

Massages - If someone can do this homework, cost for acco n food ...everything

Just acco in key places

Handycrafts

Develop and export desired furniture on order

Automobiles

Any other item that you can try and source, preferably the lower income group services ...[/LIST]Wanna give a try?

Thanks for the msg, I'm not sure either :), but am gonna give it a shot.

In a simple essence I want to expand the sourcing beyond software ofcourse. When I go to meet people, n I tell them its soo cheap in India, other than making them feel bad, I dont offer a solution, but not anymore I thought, hence this business thingy...

may be more later...

but if you have more thoughts we can explore them too.... dont hesitate to pm me, I will when I have something concreate...

I'm waiting for few things to happen on personal front, after that I plan to go to these retail chain markets n talk to them about their requirements, so I'll have more info on what they want...

Lot of the retail giants procure misc products (No Brandname) from small sourcing companies that specialize in a particular LOB (Like giftware, ceramic collectibles, etc). I would suggest that you try to get in contact with these companies (these are generally - small, family run businesses)

Cnu - I understand that you are in Eire. I was talking about these sourcing firms (retail products) in the US that are vendors to the retail giants. These guys procure products from smaller stand-alone firms.

I met a guy long time ago (8-9 yrs ago) who imported table top decorative mats with lace work from AP, India and sold them to these firms that in turn sold them to the retail companies.

I am personally interested in finding a way (export from India to these firms) to help a friend of the family who is trying to move into manufacture of designer model kitchenware items in India.
