Is Taj Mahal a blot on India's great heritage?
"The remarks, which come weeks after the famous mausoleum was excluded from an Uttar Pradesh tourism booklet, have sparked shock and outrage online.The phrase "Taj Mahal" was trending on Twitter on Monday.
"Many people were pained to see that the Taj Mahal was removed from the list of [historical places in the UP tourism booklet]," Mr Som said on Sunday.
"Is this history that the person who built the Taj Mahal imprisoned his father?
"Do you call it a history when the one who built the Taj targeted many Hindus in Uttar Pradesh and Hindustan?

I never visited Taj Mahal and have no plans whatsoever to visit that so called monument.
Reason : Its just that i dont feel so by burning Co2 emissions and getting into a hotel and visiting this monument and going home.
Waste of time and natural resources.
Now whether Taj Mahal is indian heritage .. well if statistics say that tourism in india do depend on revenues generated by Taj Majal then yes its unfair to target this just because its built by other religion homo-sapien.

Sangeet Soms educational qualification is just +2 whose business is animal slaughter and beef exports. There is nothing wrong with this but he cant decide for others what is heritage or not.
He naturally doesnt like people who eat beef because the beef consumption in India is denting his profit margins. He wants a vegetarian India so that he can source cheap cattle and make huge profits. I think all beef exporters would support Hindu terrorism, directly or indirectly.

Built on Indian soil, built with Indian money and Indian labour. It is Indian and I am proud of this building.
It is a beautiful building and I have been there multiple times and would visit whenever I visit the vicinity. Every time I am overwhelmed by the beauty and notice something different.

Taj Mahal is an architectural wonder and I am proud that Indians and Persians labored to build this monument which has withstood its beauty even after 4+ centuries.
Some Indians I have met express dismay that the Jaipur/Jodhpur/Udaipur palaces are much nicer than TajMahal and more Indians should be visiting them than Taj Mahal. I have visited those places too and they too are marvelous monuments.
Why do we need to bring religion in enjoying these historical monuments is beyond my realm.

We should build a Swami Narayan Mandira or a Venkateshwara temple in Saudi Arabia , Pakisthan and UAE and ask them not to bring in religion and just enjoy the monument. Eagerly waiting for Dixit to quote this post and add some Chicken Moghlai masala.
