On further thinking. While travel to India, we just need to carry the US passport and OCI (No Indian passport should be required, since it's cancelled), how should it matter, what's written on the canceled Indian passport?

Hi I applied for OCI after acquiring my US Citizenship last year. My Indian passport at the front and back has a "cancelled", however does not say if "Cancelled due to foreign citizenship acquisition. I sent email to the Indian consulate but there is no clear answer, they just forward a big FAQ ...
