Bro, you are trying to solve for 2 variables with one equation. You cant solve for x & y with just one equation: x + y = 5. You need to give us more. What else constitutes "serve" ? I think that tax rate will be lower (10%) if you file but I'm not sure you can completely escape paying any taxes. (There are a few really special clauses where you can avoid paying taxes in India). I suppose it doesnt matter where you pay taxes right ? If you have a large FD (say 1 crore) in India ...

Isnt NRO account a non-repatriable account ?

How can you transfer money back, even if you make 9% interest on it ?

NRE is reptraiable of coruse, but the itnerest is around 3%.

How long is the processing time for OCI since they have outsourced OCI/PIO/Visa to the external agency ?

Last I heard it was anywhere between 30 - 60 days.
