Getting Indian License by showing US one
CSK, we got ours without much problem from Thiruvanmiyur RTO about five years ago. We didn't have to do this but it may help if you take print outs from the Indian RTO site that explains the process. There may be other parts of the city that may not have dealt with these issues. BSNL bill is a ...

When a decision is forced upon you, can you find peace?
At this point I don't think it is easy to convince your husband to change his mind. I think his decisions are clouded by emotions and nothing you can do in the near term can change that. The decisions you have before you are (a) find a way to stay in the US while your husband tries to sort this out ...

student ... stay or go back
Tinu, my suggestion would be to focus on the marriage part seriously. Whether we like it or not, the biological clock is against women. Best Split A/C in Chennai
Multi split helps lower the number of compressors. But you lose efficiency as you have to pipe a longer conduit to the next room. The longer the pipes travel, the greater the loss of energy. Single split also has the advantage that you limit any problems to that particular room. You are not stuck if ...

Wireless router in India
Virtually all WiFi routers you buy in the US (from Dlink, Cisco) are likely to be 100 - 240V. They will work in India. It is useful to bring n-type router or one that boasts extra long range. The cost in India will be 2x that of what it is in the US. But in absolute dollars, this is not a biggie.

Home Construction : Wiring your new home
C,d and e are for electrical cables. It is safer to use separate conduits for low voltage cable. But it is useful to know how many cables or wires will go thru a particular conduit

#204 - If you choose wood, teak is the best option but can be the most expensive. The advantage with teak is that it can last decades without you having to worry about termites, moisture, heat or anything. First class teak is a good compromise. Next best is hard wood. With wood the thickness of ...

Blue-ray/ DVDs and NTSC / PAL ?
If you watch a lot of hollywood movies, then buying a blu Ray player in India is a bad idea even if the costs were comparable to the US. If you buy an Indian branded version, you shut yourself off the thousands of movies you have available in Region code 1.
