MT: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) discussion
This question is specifically for those who have already received OCI for their minor kids. Do they mention parents' name in the actual OCI stamp/booklet for minor kids? If so, do they mention both parents or just dad or mom? The reason I'm asking this question is because my wife intends to ...

My Simple /Silly US Tax question
Does anyone know if filing Indian taxes becomes mandatory if one (US Citizen) has interest income in their NRO account in India? If so, how is that reported on the US tax return considering that one has to report the income to IRS and then get a credit for the taxes paid in India.

Can I R2I while on GC and still be eligible for Citizenship
It's a slippery slope and be prepared to slip. Exercise this option only if you are not too serious about USC, else, stay on.

Dilemma : How to beat the R2I blues? Should I R2A?
It is not recommended to get physical unless you are attacked and you need to defend yourself/family. In a place where law enforcement is so weak it's not wise to mess with locals who can line up 10-20 people in no time. I have had such fights in my younger years in India and believe me, it's ...

Grading your India Return
I don't think it's the ease of getting the license that's responsible for the traffic chaos. It's the lack of enforcement of traffic laws in conjunction with poor condition of roads due to GOI's incompetence that's responsible for the mess. GOI needs to fix the roads first and then start issuing ...

Health Issues
No response actually means this topic has been beaten to death. Check out the older MSN "R2IClub" forum. Based on all the hundreds of posting on this topic, the outcome is kids get used to Indian conditions in a year or so. Expect them to fall ill very frequently in the beginning but slowly they ...
