You cannot help but consider this more so when you move with children.

Anytime talk about moving to Kerala comes up, people tend to scare you with stories about all these ( whats the right word.. ) maladies.

Is it really that bad a situation ? Sumachechi and others that are in Kerala, can you comment please ?

On another note since you been in Kochi for a while now, what are your impressions about it as an r2i city for IT people ? We were there for a day last month and though we were in Thripunithara mostly only drove ...

For someone who wants to get kids enrolled in the next school year 2012-2013, how should one approach the school and how far ahead should one initiate contact. Can you share some thoughts please.

Not too crazy about Shoppers Stop or clothing stores in the malls in Pune, you would be better off someplace on Laxmi Road like Princess or the smaller places on Main Street in Camp. Isn't there an income statement that you have to present to show eligibility for a ration card :-)

This may sound like a utopian thought, but is there a city in Kerala where one can pursue an IT type job and still not stay in the thick of it all. Work in IT but live and prosper in a typical nadan environment with your own house, kids going to a good school with a resonable commute time etc..
